vBulletin Performance Tuning
I've been involved with vBulletin for the past 4 years, both in a professional and non-professional capacity, and a large amount of this time has been devoted to server optomisation. vBulletin is not the slimmest of programs, but I'm lucky enough to be the admin of a couple of very busy forum, and have had ample opportunity to experiment with techniques such as load balancing, MySQL tuning, memcache, PHP op-code caches, reverse proxies, and lighttpd. Some of my notes can be found here.
If you're experiencing problems with high server loads (the main symptom usually being slow page loading times), I can almost certainly help. Generally 1 hour is enough to make a significant difference, and I can also advise on (or implement) more involved issues such as load balancing across multiple machines.
Please contact me for further details. You may also like to read more about my background, and my work with Linux.
